Nathalie's Celebrant Fee
I usually spend between 15 - 20 hours on each ceremony I design and deliver. I arrive around 1 hour before the ceremony on the day of your wedding to do a sound check, check the music, make sure the venue has everything ready for you, and then relax and wait for your arrival. I don't race off afterwards to my next ceremony. I rarely book another wedding on your special day, so I can give you the very best attention. With this knowledge at the forefront of my work, I ask for a fee that reflects the work involved.
I charge a fee of $480
This includes initial meeting, writing first draft of ceremony and revising draft until it’s just right for you both, liaising with people involved in ceremony, rehearsal of ceremony and readers, singers and musicians, supporting family and friends during the day, use of ritual objects, and of course conducting on the day. I also present a beautiful PDF copy of the ceremony afterwards.
In addition, if your ceremony venue is more than 50km from Melbourne CBD, I ask for travelling costs at $20 per hour, travel expenses and overnight accommodation where necessary, this is always agreed beforehand.
The payment is made in stages.
I ask for $100 for the first draft of the ceremony to go ahead, this is the non refundable deposit.
I invoice you one week before the ceremony for the remainder of the fee plus expenses. If it is necessary to travel a long way I sometimes ask for expenses before the journey. I am also able to provide a PA, sometimes useful for out of doors ceremonies
